Over the holiday break I received an incredible opportunity to attend the Passion 2013 Conference in Atlanta. I had no idea how big of a deal this conference was until I was there!
There were around 60,000 students mainly consisting of ages 18-25. All fifty states were represented as well as over fifty different countries. The Georgia Dome was almost filled to capacity, which was an amazing sight to see!
The music was fantastic! I had no idea artists like Kristian Stanfill, David Crowder, Chris Tomlin (my favorite), and many others would be performing. I was pleasantly surprised. It was awesome to feel the bass shake the whole dome.
The main theme of the week was to create awareness about slavery and how it still exists throughout the world. If you are interested please check out enditmovement.com to learn more.
On our last night there, all 60,000 people gathered outside with candles and then they created a huge beam of light to represent us “Shining a light on slavery.” It is really cool to see how there are so many opportunities for young adults to make a difference in the world!
