Mercedes-Benz Splitview Technology

Available for all S/CL-Class models, you now have the ability to view two different sources on the same screen. For example, while the driver is using the radio or navigation system, the front passenger can enjoy a DVD video on the very same display screen. The all-new color screen allows for the display of two different images simultaneously. A filter, masking the display, divides the image in such a way that it is viewing angle specific. Therefore, only a single visual source can be seen on either side. As a result, the driver and front passenger can view completely different content on the same screen at the same time – the effect is beyond belief.

The all-new SPLITVIEW system is integrated into COMAND. The 8-inch active matrix color screen allows for the display of two different images simultaneously. A filter, masking the display, divides the image in such a way that it is viewing angle specific. Therefore, only a single visual source can be seen on either side. As a result, the driver and front passenger can view completely different content on the same screen at the same time – the effect is beyond belief.

When active, the driver has full access to the COMAND system while the front passenger uses the included remote control and wireless headphones to enjoy their own entertainment choice.

MSRP is $700

Due to various state laws, SPLITVIEW is currently prohibited on vehicles registered in the following 14 states: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin.

RBM North December 2009 Record Month

Well 2009 ended on a great note.  RBM North achieved a number of bests for the sales department.  Lets start with our best month ever.  122 total vehicles.  52 new cars and 70 pre-owned cars(a best).  Our internet department had their best month ever at 40 cars sold.  F&I smashed their previous best due to the great programs from Mercedes-Benz Finance.

Salesmen of the month went to Andy Sayers with 19 total cars sold(a store best).  He also finished with salesmen of the the year.  Congrats to Andy.  I finished in third with a very respectable 15 total cars sold.

Mercedes-Benz also reported their best month of the year with 20,025 new vehicles purchased and 5,098 CPO vehicles purchased.

A number of great product offerings are in the works from Mercedes-Benz.  The debut of the new E Cabriolet is around the corner to the SLS AMG in late spring/early summer.  I look forward to what lies ahead in 2010.
