I know there has been a big push to find alternate fuel sources for vehicles in the last couple of years. Ethanol or E85 seems to have risen to the top. Look at GM and you see a lot of “Flex Fuel” vehicles in their line up. While ethanol maybe a fuel alternative, it is not as energy efficient as gasoline. You ask, what does this mean to me? Let me explain.
I wanted to recognize 2 of our technicians for being awarded as one of the top 16 techs in the USA. Mercedes-Benz keeps monitors almost 7000 techs throughout the USA. Each quarter they recognize the top 16 techs based on First Fix Visit. I know 16 is an odd number, but the idea is 4 techs from each region. First quarter this year it changed, the South region had 8 of the top 16 techs and RBM and RBM North each had one. I would like to recognize Brian Moffett from RBM North and Robert Willingham at RBM of Atlanta. This is a great accomplishment and achievement for each of them. Congratulations to each of you.

February is over now. Thank you to all who purchased cars from me. I achieved my goals and the store hit theirs as well. It is the second straight month where we sold 30+ cars over the same month last year. We saw the launch of the ML350 2wd variant at the very end. I look forward to March and the great programs we have available. Not to mention “March Madness”, NFL free agency and all the hype leading up to the draft next month. Sorry, I love this time of year to see the free agency changes in the NFL.

Stuttgart – Daimler AG received a special award for its commitment to innovation, during the presentation of the “29th German Industry Innovation Award”. This “Decade Award” is only presented every ten years, in recognition of sustainable and successful commitment to concerted innovation strategies. There were more than 360 applications submitted by over 300 companies. A jury of experts from industry, science and politics chose Daimler AG.
This isn’t the first time Daimler has received this award. Mercedes-Benz continues to focus it’s commitment to innovation in the areas of safety, vehicle individualisation and alternative powertrains. (This reminds me of a saying I once heard, “always imitated never duplicated”)
During the last ten years Daimler has registered well over 40,000 patents. Its outstanding know-how is demonstrated by innovations in new vehicle concepts, as well as a wide range of efficient, clean and powerful drive systems and trailblazing safety technologies. The ever-increasing number of product-related patent applications evidence how intensively the company is investing in the future. In 2008 the number of original patent applications increased by more than 15 percent compared to the previous year.

We are happy to announce the retail release for the MY09 ML350 2WD at a base MSRP of $44,600, which represents a $2,500 discount to the ML350 4MATIC.
This aggressively priced model provides a competitive advantage to those markets where 2WD is dominant. The ML350 2WD has the same exact standard / optional equipment and great look as the ML350 4MATIC.
The 2WD model has an identical residual value to the 4MATIC resulting in a lower lease rate by approximately $20 with similar terms.
